about

"Make Them Pay" is the first single off Demons My Friends' new album, "Demons Seem To Gather", which is set to be released on September 8th, 2023 via Gravitoyd Heavy Music.

This track addresses the common frustration felt by most of us in the post-pandemic era with the imbalances of power that keep getting deeper with the rise of inflation and the erosion of democratic institutions meant to protect us all from these types of abuses.

Video Premiere: June 27, 2023
Release date: June 28, 2023

lyrics

They fuel us with the need for failure
No wonder why the friction fades away
You're covered in silk, the stakes are stacked against us
The clock ticks fast, leading you to your grave

Sever the locks and we will sever heads
The whole resistance is a bleeding shame
Shake the laws made only to correct us
The tyrants lie, and lead us to despair

Why should we trust in them?
They only say what we want to hear them say
Don't go looking for answers
It's time to shed the lies and make them pay

Why should we trust in them?
They only say what we want to hear them say
Don't go looking for answers
It's time to shed the lies and make them pay

about

Demons My Friends Austin, Texas

Stoner/doom from TX & MX

“Think fuzz. Think riffs. Think drop-tuned heaviness.”
- Decibel Magazine

“Their low-end commitment is part of Demons My Friends‘ appeal, but the band applies their sonic dominance toward clever songs to really seal the deal. The trio can bring big riffs as well as surprisingly dense hooks that introduce drama into their luxuriously groovy pacing.”
